Merry Christmas

Just wante to take a moment and wish all of you a Merry Christmas!

This is the card that we had made with Whimiscal Creations - http://www.whimsicalcreations.ca/ - With all the work I had to do I did not have time to even think about a card. I contact Cherly and asked her what her turn around time was...she said "a day". A DAY? ok I can do this. Got the kids dressed up, took photos and put card together on her website. Emailed me a proof and I asked if she could change some colours. "Of Course" So I got an amazing card and it was pretty much customed made for me AND I got it all in 24 hours. She is amazing. Everyone keeps asking me if I made my card...I'd love to take the credit but I can't. I took the pictures AND I made those kids though. lol.

Let there be light!

I have now invested in studio lights! They are nice a compact so they can travel to in-home shoots with me. I felt like a kid on Christmas morining ripping into the box when I got them home. Only one kids was awake so here are some shots of Mady.

I've still got it!!

I never doubt my creative being so long since I shot, However during almost every shoot I have to bend and crouch in different positions and after the accident I wasn't sure how long it would be till I was able to all of that again. So I took Lachlan out to give it a try. He is a super great baby so lying in the grass didn't bother him at all. He's a big fan of the outdoors.

Welcome Lachlan Christopher Duncan McIntosh

Its been a rough 9 months but its all over now - and totally worth it. Lachlan was born April 11th at 9:07pm weighing 7lbs, 13oz. Madison is thrilled with her new little brother.

I am hoping to be able to start shooting again by the end of May. Still doing a lot of phyiso from the car accident but I'm starting to improve now.

Well you could probably say that about photographer’s children too. While mine doesn’t go "photoless", I don't put as much effort in her photo as I do for clients. However with this great weather and a cancellation today I thought it might be a good day to do some "work" with Madison. She's getting good though - she took direction!! - I may do more shoots with her now lol.

So the beach wasn't a big hit this time around - she did not like the sand at all - However she did like to board walk.

The one thing I hate about being a parent is the HARD PLASTIC TOYS I step on 100 times a day! So I am using them to make art! Take that Lego!!

Learn Something New Everyday

I am really enjoying the classes I am taking. Photoshop has been my weakest part of this gig but I hope by then end of these classes it will be a strength. Improving eyes is my lastest skill. Here is sample. Madison at Easter.
